As part of my daughter's "Intro to Graphic Design" high school course, she had to develop a mock website. Now, this girl of mine is VERY artistic, but I never thought of putting her in charge of creating the face of my business on the world wide web.... but my small boutique business was nearing it's 3rd year anniversary without any online presence. So, when Aubrey asked what should she do for a website, I quickly responded, "Street Savvy needs a website!" The #1 question I get when my mobile boutique is set up at an event is, "Do you have a website?" So she and I thought it would be beneficial to align her school project with my desire to start an eCommerce store.
She researched what websites were affordable and easy to work with and decided to use WIX. She felt it was pretty simple to design. She added all the business details, photos and the history of how Street Savvy got started and wha-lah, the website was created.
I have to say, it turned out pretty good. And She got a 96% :)
Later, I tweaked the site a bit and spent A-L-O-T of time (weeks of Covid-19 quarantine) uploading merchandise, but have yet to advertise it's ready.
